Ava Hojnowski (she/her) is a Philadelphia and New York City-local hire actress based in New Jersey. She graduated from Rider University with her BFA in Acting for Film, Television and Television and minor in Arts and Entertainment Industries Management. In addition to acting, Ava has dabbled in directing, devising, and stage combat. In her free time, she enjoys watching films, going to the museum, crocheting, and playing video games with a cat on her lap. She is an avid animal lover and travel enthusiast. The artists who inspire her are Ingmar Bergman, David Lynch, Greta Gerwig, Mary Oliver, Claude Monet, Andrew Scott, and Sadie Sink.


Artistic Statement
Through her art, Ava's goal is to appreciate and identify the hidden strength inside everyday women. Their perseverance and determination to push on, no matter the time or place, fascinates and motivates her. She hopes that the art she creates and surrounds herself with tells unique and intricate stories of women that inspires future generations to create a better world.

Dear Vivian, a short film is currently going through the film festival circuit. Just recently, the film received Best NJ Film and Ava won Best Actress at The Brightside Tavern Festival. The film will be heading to the Queen City Film Festival and Rutherford Film Festival next.
Ava is currently seeking representation for theatrical and commercial.
